A sculptural and compact armchair available in two variants, with or without a headrest. Royce joins SP01’s elegant collection of character-driven designs.

The original avian inspiration behind the design animates the new piece, giving it a distinct sense of character. The simple geometric line is reduced to a bird-like silhouette that appears ready for take-off.

Originally shown as a dining chair at Stockholm Furniture Fair in 2018, Nikolai worked with SP01 to develop the concept into an armchair with an enveloping wing-shaped design.

Based on the arch theme that defined the mirror series, the Michelle seating collection is an exercise in pure, almost architectural geometry. On its own, Michelle is a subtle statement of an occasional chair; in multiples, the dining chairs and stools or both, the arched back frame becomes an element of an ordered group that references the classical colonnades.
